"I want to thank you for your SUPERIOR efforts on my behalf.  I had no one to turn to, or so I thought.  You have reminded me that not everyone doing business on the WEB is guilty of  "take the money and run".  It is difficult to say just how much your assistance has been worth to me.  System = stable.  Data = completely safe.  Psychological state = EXTREMELY RELIEVED AND GRATEFUL!  Take care and  again, thank you Sir." - Gavin Roberson

Our support effort is based on BootMaster Diagnostics (BMD), our powerful partition diagnostic scanner. A copy of BMD is included on every BootMaster & BootMaster PLUS rescue disk.

BMD can be executed from within BootMaster (via the F12 key). For systems containing only NTFS partitions we recommend that the report be run in Quick mode. For systems containg FAT partitions please run the report in Normal mode. Deep mode should be only used if requested by BootMaster support.

Each BMD scan results in the creation of a text report file. The file name takes the form "BMDnn.TXT", where nn is a digit pair. The reports are numbered sequentially with the most recent report having the highest number - ie, BMD00.TXT, BMD01.TXT, BMD02.TXT, etc.

On the standard BootMaster diskette the report files will be saved to the root directory On BootMaster PLUS diskettes the reports are saved to A:\PLUS.

Special Procedure for BootMaster on CDROM

When creating a diagnostic report from BootMaster Partition Recovery On CDROM a special procedure is required:

1. Run BootMaster Diagnostics to create the desired report. The report will be saved on drive Z: (the RAM disk).

2. If there is a writeable FAT partition available on the system, for example, on a removable flash drive, exit the BootMaster menu and save the report to the FAT partition (ie, "COPY BMD00.TXT D:\").

3. If there is not a writable FAT partition available, then restart BootMaster Diagnostics. From the startup dialog, select "Read an Existing Report." Highlight the report in the menu and press ENTER. When the report is displayed in the reader, you can transcribe it manually. Another alternative is to photograph the report on the computer screen and send us the image files.

When requesting technical support, please include in your email:

1. BootMaster Diagnostics report file. The report can be attached to the email, or pasted into the email body, as you prefer. For your initial contact, please include ALL of the system's hard drives in the report.

2. A brief description of the problem you are having.

3. Please transcribe any error messages you are receiving into the email. For XP/2000 Stop error blue screens, include also the error codes (long numbers which begin 0x00... - there are usually 3 of them).

4. Normal response time is one business day or less.
